Sharon’s News

Sweet Potato Quinoa I’m very excited to announce that I am embarking upon a new adventure… I’m writing and publishing my first book! The title is “Nourishment Made Simple”, and it takes a fun and informative look at food, nourishment, and  cooking for “real life”.

In a nutshell, the entire book is based upon one recipe. Yup. One simple, nourishing recipe, with endless variations.  Some of you are already familiar with the “baked grain” or “one-pot” dishes (as some people refer to them) that I’ve been teaching in my cooking classes and private practice. This has always been one of my favorite techniques to share, and it has been a staple in my home for over 15 years.

This book is inspired by the all of the folks I’ve talked with and cooked with over the years.  Because of this, the book is filled with stories about each person who shares their unique version of the recipe.  This book is dedicated to those Mom’s, Dad’s, college students, healthcare workers, entrepreneurs, and anyone else who has something else to do during the day aside from preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I would love to invite you all to join me in making this vision a reality.  In the coming weeks, I will be presenting 3 short cooking videos, which will hopefully inspire you to create your own unique variations.  I will also be posting downloadable entry forms and guidelines for those of you who would like to submit your recipe(s) for the cookbook.

So if this interests you, stay tuned for updates, and discover more simple and practical ways to stay nourished in a busy world!

Home Treatment Room

If you have not already heard, my partner and favorite Hellerworker, Jason Rumohr, and I are merging our lives and our practices!  We are excited to begin this venture with a fresh new treatment space, located in a studio attached to our home in North Seattle (Just off 97th and Sandpoint Way).

We are still adding finishing touches, but it already feels like a sanctuary to us.   Located just off the Burke Gilman trail, close to Matthew’s Beach and Magnuson Park, you might want to plan a little extra time for a stroll or just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.

We are excited to open our new doors to you, and we hope you will enjoy this space as much as we do!
