In the early nineties, a sudden life-changing illness brought this appreciation to a whole new level. After years of attempting to reach a ‘diagnosis’, I realized that to truly heal, I needed to be willing to take my health (physically, mentally and spiritually) into my own hands. This healing process has taught me to live a full and vibrant life, and is the very foundation of my practice today. I have explored many healing modalities, but some of the most profound changes have occurred in a different kind of treatment room: my kitchen. I spent several years devoted to exploring new ways of nourishing myself. I read, I cooked, I tasted a whole new world of food, and I began to listen more deeply to what my body was asking for ... and it told me. (more) |
